Leadership Dinners

To get an idea of our Leadership Dinner experience click here for a 90 second filmclip.

A Leadership Dinner starts with a one hour presentation by a high-calibre speaker. After the presentation and a short networking reception, participants are seated at roundtables with a carefully chosen mix of people to share their own experiences regarding the topic and engage in a dialogue over dinner. One of our personally trained moderators facilitates the discussion at each table. The evening ends with a plenary discussion to highlight the most interesting comments from across all the tables. You will leave this meeting with inspiration from the speaker and reflection from your table. A Leadership Dinner is always from 17:00 to 21:00.

Leadership dinners usually follow this format:

16:30 - 17:00 Registration with coffee and tea
17:00 - 18:00 Speaker presentation
18:00 - 18:30 Drinks, hors d'oeuvres and networking
18:30 - 20:30 Dialog over dinner at assigned roundtables led by our moderators.
There will be two questions. One is an ice breaker to help people get acquainted. The second is directly related to the topic of the evening.
20:30 - 21:00 Plenary discussion to capture the most surprising or interesting thoughts from across the tables.
21:00 End. Participants are invited to continue the conversation over coffee or wine

The cost of Leadership Dinners in the President Circle is €450. The cost of Leadership Dinners in the other circles is €295.

Peer Roundtables

Compared to Leadership Dinners, Peer Roundtables take the model one step further. They offer a more intense experience by foregoing the speaker and limiting the number of participants to eight. Personal leadership experiences are shared with your peers in a confidential setting. The dialogues are moderated which allows a maximum level of participation and a deeper level of conversation. Topics may include pressing business issues which confront you on a daily basis or personal development themes in which you are invited to reflect on your motives and/or behaviour. In either case, personal experience with the leadership topic at hand, and a willingness to listen and share are conditions to optimize the results. We have two established groups which meet approximately every eight months and more are under development.

A typical Peer Roundtable follows this format:

15:30 Registration
16:00 Opening. Reconnecting between participants
17:00 Break into groups of two to uncover participants' most pressing dilemmas, business or personal
17:30 Sharing the dilemmas
18:15 Solo reflection, followed by break
19:00 Moderated dialog about common themes over dinner.
22:00 End

The cost of Peer Roundtables is €550. They are only offered in the President Circle.

Our Conferences offer a splendid mix of high-calibre speakers, meaningful content, Roundtable dialogue, the opportunity for personal reflection in a secure environment and a unique yet intimate setting. Participation is open to members and their clients and contacts.

Other types of Services

Moderation Services

We believe that our core competence is organising Roundtable dialogues around the right topics for the right people. With this in mind, we offer our services in helping you and your organisation to organize Roundtable events. This can be done in a number of ways.

  • The leadership at the City of Almere has engaged ELP to organize Roundtable events where all employees of the City are welcome. The Roundtables are presented as a gift to the employees for the work they do and they are invited to be inspired.
  • Tele2 Netherlands has engaged ELP to organize Roundtable events for clients and potential clients. This enables Tele2 to interact in a different and more meaningful way with their clients, without talking about sales.

Sponsored Roundtables

If you have a topic that you feel is of interest to other members, or you want to get direct feedback from your peers on a particular business dilemma, you may want to consider sponsoring a Roundtable. We will work with you to define the topic, organise the appropriate participants and take care of the logistics and the moderation of the Roundtable. You will get the feedback you look for on your topic while participants get an interesting Roundtable for free. Please keep in mind that Sponsored Roundtables are not meant for advertising your product or company, but, like all our meetings, for a genuine dialogue about boardroom topics.

Conference Chairing

With his insightful manner of sensing the energy of the audience and skillfully managing any combination of speakers, Q & A and audience interaction, Twan van de Kerkhof acts as conference chairman on a regular basis. Recent conferences include the Netherlands Foundation for Management Development and the Center for Servant Leadership.
