The organisation

Twan van de Kerkhof is the founder and executive director of the European Leadership Platform. He founded the company in 2003, after having been a journalist for 15 years. Twan has written four books about leadership, one about China and one about Roundtable dialogues. He is an economist by education.

Marti ten Sijthoff, associate director, is passionate about helping people feel connected. She enjoys helping new members feel at home in our ELP community. She has a great deal of experience in association management with a particular passion for membership development. She has a Master of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and a BA in Economics. An American, she came with her Dutch husband and two children to the Netherlands in 2007 from Minnesota.

Pauline Kemper provides administrative support, keeping everything running behind the scenes and is the primary contact for any questions about invoicing and address changes. We got to know her when she worked for a neighboring company while ELP was in the West Indisch Pakhuis. She has more than 18 years experience in administrative support and is married with two children.

The Advisory Board

The role of the Advisory Board is to provide guidance and a sounding board to help ELP live its mission and evolve into the future. Advisory Members advocate on behalf of ELP to build partnerships, provide strategic insight and identify areas of opportunity. Its members have a strong, broad-based range of experience and expertise in business, entrepreneurship, government/non-profit, human resources and governance.

Moderators

ELP Events are characterized by a true dialogue amongst peers. We believe that our methodology enables leaders to reflect and share dilemmas about the rarely black and white nature of their work. Our moderators are vital to help our members in starting and maintaining this dialogue. All moderators are trained in our unique format.
